The first stop on our Barnstorm was "The Spot" in Marengo, IL.
Marengo is a city in McHenry County, Illinois, United States on the Kishwaukee River. It lies approximately 60 miles west northwest of Chicago and ... we just couldn't bring ourselves to order the Spot Burger weighing in at a solid 3/4 pound!
Opting for the Double Smashburger (mustard, onion & pickle) at 1/2 lb. I was more than satisfied. The tab coming in under $15 with fries is a bargain compared to some of the destinations coming up. On a 1-10 scale THE SPOT is a solid 8.5
